About the Professor
Navy Captain Isah Rambo Saidu is a distinguished military officer and academic trailblazer who has etched his name in Nigerian history as the first serving Professor in the Nigerian Navy. A Professor of Cyber Security currently serving as Deputy Vice Chancellor of the Admiralty University of Nigeria, he exemplifies the rare union of military excellence and scholarly achievement.
Born on 12 January 1974 in Kebbi State, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto (1997–2001), followed by a Master of Science from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria (2003–2007), and a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from the Federal University of Technology Akure (2011–2015).

A passionate researcher and educator, Captain Saidu has supervised over 60 postgraduate students across BSc, PGD, MSc and PhD levels. His TETFund research grants — covering conferences in California and Nanjing, book publications, and journal development — total over ₦30 million.
As Dean of the Faculty of Military Science and Interdisciplinary Studies at the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna, and Head of the Department of Cyber Security since 2019, he has fundamentally shaped the academic landscape of military cyber education in Nigeria.
